The Super Bowl & Human Trafficking<noscript>Watch the latest video at <a href=””></a></noscript&gt;

Although trafficking is seen more during the Super Bowl, it’s not so much an increase.  Trafficking does increase in that area–but those who are trafficked aren’t newly trafficked for this event.  It’s more that those who are already trafficked are brought into the area for the event.  It is indeed important to raise awareness at these events, because it is an opportunity to rescue more individuals and to catch more traffickers, but it’s not so simple to look at it as the one day a year trafficking is at its peak.  That’s not the case at all–we just see a peak in that particular area.
